Eden Yesh is the Regional Manager of Community Economic Development at Kootenay Employment Services Society and has been with the organization for 10 years. For the past six years, Eden led the research, development and incorporation of three Community Investment Co-ops in the Kootenay-Boundary region that bridge the gap between local investors and local businesses in need of financing and support. He also established a partnership between Kootenay Employment Services Society and Community Energy Association to launch the Kootenay Clean Energy Transition initiative. This 2-year pilot project aims to expedite market transformation of greenhouse gas reducing technologies across the 44 communities of the Kootenay-Boundary region.
